macOS on a computer more than one person uses
MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 both run on macOS, and the installed terminal is the better tool on a Mac with a single user. The workspace it saves, the charts, the timeframes and the indicators placed on them, comes back on the next launch, so evening sessions start from where the last one ended.
On a shared Mac the browser platform is the less intrusive option. It opens from the Personal Area in Safari, adds nothing to the disk and disappears when the tab is closed, which keeps the computer looking the way the next person expects. Signing out matters more than usual on a machine other people use.
The two routes are interchangeable because the account is the same in both. A session can begin in a browser in the afternoon, when the European session opens on the local UTC+6 clock, and continue in the desktop terminal later once the machine is free. Nothing has to be prepared to make that switch.
